Hi Peter,
You should be able to click the RSS button and then add to your Reader or Google home page. I will check to see if it is working properly. Thanks
Thank You Josh,
Steve Jobs was an inspiration to our entire culture. He is a pan-generational phenomenon. It wasn’t only in his industry…check out his very famous commencement speech at Stanford. That will live on forever. It reminds me of the oft-quoted speech that LD Pankey gave to the Florida Dental Association in 1948. Some principles never die.
I don’t know how large your non-dentist audience is, but here I am. A mining engineer from the states, I happened upon your book in a little thrift store in Queensland, Australia. I’m a sucker for used books, but the Australia part is a long story.
I wanted to let you know that even though I have no concept of dental anatomy, as a management consultant I find that most of your book applies directly to my line of work – with only a few minor word changes. Your approach to dentistry is virtually universal to any service provider, and definitely to a profession like engineering.
Like you, I often find great value in books that otherwise might seem very disconnected from the industry that I supposedly work in. But in truth, we deal with the same people – just slightly different goals in a different context.
Thanks for contributing to the growth of excellence.
Thanks so much for your kind words. My industry here in America seems to need this type of inspiration and education just like most industries. These are the things we take for granted…but never seem to learn and apply. My good friend Dr. Paddi Lund, who wrote the Forward to my book is from Queensland…Capalaba actually.
Thank You so much.
Barry
I come across so many people that only read (if at all) within a narrow scope of their industry or personal interests. It is simply amazing how easily your book could translate to other professions if we would take the time to explore outside of our respective boxes. If I can help spread the word, it will be my small contribution toward that greater understanding as well.
@jburkepe Thanks Jason…I read your blog post. Nice job. It’s obvious we have similar philosophies about “philosophy.” Dentistry is a highly technical field…but success still comes to those who understand the “soft skills.”

I was further motivated to expand on my thoughts on my own blog: http://pmug.wordpress.com/2011/11/15/i-am-not-a-dentist/
Thanks again!
